Greek pony commission by lovelauraland Greek pony commission by lovelauraland
This was the pony made for the winner of my custom raffel held on the mlparena.
As requested the pony was made to look like a Ancient Greek style pony.
She has been re-rooted in black saran hair and her mane was placed up into a bun with greek style ribbons and hair pins painted gold.
Her wings have been sculpted with apoxie sculpt and painted in black, terracotta, white and olive green.
I have re-painted her eyes in shades of blue and they have been varnished for protection and to make them look more life like :D

Is this really greek? I thought it was more of an..mm.. egyptian sort of thing, given the wings. They sort of remind me of Horus.. Either way, I love the way you tied up her hair <3

This should be called Ancient Egypt Pony.
The yet black hair, scarab wings and the hieroglyphish owl - all is very egyptian and not greek at all.

With the owl on her side, this makes me think of Athena in pony form. Overall, she looks wonderful, though I'm especially fond of her hair and the decorations you used for it.

Totally awesome :)
I think the one thing that could be changed is her hair ribbon - a bronze or gold ribbon instead of the cream one..
I adore this pony though, I love greek stuff :aww:

wow, beautiful. I actually sketched this pony out for the person who won your raffle, because she wanted to see if her idea would actually look any good. I'm surprised how close my sketch is to your finished product. I had a boat as the cutie mark, but the owl is sooo much better.

yeah she wanted the owl as her symbol which is off an old greek coin [link]
I painted it gold to match the colour theme :)
Thanks for showing me
